Based on your diagnosis, we may recommend a wide variety of approaches, including improved nutrition, prescription medicines, therapy and vision exercises, or medical procedures.
Good Eyecare Begins With A Yearly Eye Exam!
Although many do not realize it, the best way to protect your vision is with a yearly eye checkup. Even a basic eye exam can instantly detect many health-threatening conditions, such as tumors, vascular irregularities, and diabetes-related injury to the retina. At Advanced Family Eye Care, that basic checkup is brief and painless.
When it comes to maintaining optimal eye health, early detection and accurate diagnosis are crucial. Optical Coherence Tomography is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses light waves to generate detailed cross-sectional images of the retina, the thin layer of tissue lining the back of the eye. It provides clinicians with high-resolution, three-dimensional visualization of the retina, allowing them to analyze its structure and detect abnormalities with exceptional precision. Some common applications of OCT in retinal imaging include:
Age-Related Macular Degeneration
Diabetic Retinopathy
Retinal Detachment
Glaucoma
In addition to detecting early signs of these and many other eye diseases, an OCT scan will determine a baseline norm for a patient to allow subtle changes to be seen over time.
